The United States is deploying B-2 stealth bombers to Guam, U.S. officials told Reuters, as President Donald Trump considers whether to support Israel in its escalating conflict with Iran. B-2 bombers are capable of carrying the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a 30,000-pound bunker-busting bomb designed to destroy heavily fortified underground facilities like Iran’s Fordow nuclear site. While no official orders have been issued to move the bombers beyond Guam, speculation is rising that they may be repositioned to Diego Garcia, a U.S.-British base strategically located in the Indian Ocean. Previously, B-2s stationed in Diego Garcia were replaced by B-52 bombers last month. The return of stealth bombers to the region could signal increased U.S. military readiness as officials and analysts watch closely for any further deployments.
