Democratic Presidential nominee Donald Trump had clearly emerged as victor when the Republican convention ended in Cleveland; his polls were rocketing higher. But, he seems to have lost that edge over his recent feud with the parents of a slain Muslim soldier and his attacks on Party establishment. He bluntly refused to endorse Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senator John McCain in their reelection bids. This has made the senior party leaders furious.
This bitter attack of words had led the polls move against him and it is so broad-based that it can be concluded as real turning point. Many prominent Republicans have joined the camp, “Republicans for Hillary”.
According to Real Clear Politics (RCP), 23 national polls published since the end of the Democratic Convention in Philadelphia, have shown a lead for Hillary Clinton. Some of the latest numbers have been in double digits. National poll average from RCP shows that Hillary Clinton is leading with 47.4 percent to Trump’s 40.6 percent. Latest poll conducted by NBC and WSJ shows Clinton is leading by 9 percent.
Betting odds are showing 77 percent probability of a Clinton win compared to 23 percent for Trump.
It looks like, no matter how strong the economic policies are Donald Trump could lose the election if he fails to refrain from attacking every opposition and fails to keep his focus on Hillary.
